Supercapacitor Assisted Energy Storage Mechanism for Wireless Sensor Node

2023 – Present
  • Enhanced solar PV integration into low-voltage networks by combining dynamic line rating (DLR), voltage control strategies, and power factor correction to overcome voltage and conductor limitations
  • Investigated hybrid energy storage systems using supercapacitors and batteries, comparing their efficiency and reliability for real-time DLR monitoring in dynamic environments
  • Developed the DLR prediction model using LSTM Neural Network
  • Developed a mathematical model for battery-type supercapacitor

Development of Soft Programmable Logic Controllers for Precision Agriculture

2025 – Present
  • Conducted a comprehensive analysis of Soft PLC systems as a cost-effective alternative to traditional PLCs
  • Designed and implemented a Soft PLC–based wireless smart irrigation system using Raspberry Pi as the central controller
  • Developed IEC 61131-3–compliant control logic for real-time sensor processing, adaptive irrigation decisions, and precise valve actuation
  • Integrated ESP32-based LoRa sensor nodes with Firebase cloud connectivity for remote monitoring, enabling reliable long-range communication and low-latency control in outdoor environments
  • Developed the central control system using Raspberry Pi and the sensor node using ESP32 with LoRa compatibility

Techno-Economic Analysis of Agrivoltaic Plants

  • Conducted a comprehensive analysis of agrivoltaic systems integrating solar energy generation with crop cultivation
  • Evaluated land use efficiency, crop selection, solar panel configuration, and economic viability
  • Simulated solar irradiance, shading patterns, and crop productivity under semi-transparent PV panels using Rhino 3D and Grasshopper
  • Performed load behavior analysis and modeled the agrivoltaic system using Rhino and Grasshopper
  • Integrated grow light simulations using Honeybee plugin and carried out techno-economic evaluations for optimized design
